Control up to 15 devices connected to TV via HDMI-CEC with just one remote control

Consumer Electronics control (CEC) is a design/feature of HDMI used to control different devices functions via HDMI. For example a single TV remote can control set-top box , DVD player functions via HDMI-CEC Technology.

How to check if your TV has HDMI-CEC
Its simple. just check your HDMI ports on your TV. If HDMI-ARC is mentioned then CEC is Supported. otherwise not supported.
Also you can check it out in TV settings panel > Media Control > HDMI-CEC

For example I have a Samsung HDTV which has two HDMI ports but both of them dont support CEC.
It has labels HDMI AV for Audio/Video and HDMI STB for set-top box respectively.

Nowadays its common to find CEC enabled Smart TVs.
