Control up to 15 devices connected to TV via HDMI-CEC with just one remote control

Consumer Electronics control (CEC) is a design/feature of HDMI used to control different devices functions via HDMI. For example a single TV remote can control set-top box , DVD player functions via HDMI-CEC Technology. How to check if your TV has HDMI-CEC Its simple. just check your HDMI ports on your TV. If HDMI-ARC is mentioned then CEC is Supported. otherwise not supported. Also you can check it out in TV settings panel > Media Control > HDMI-CEC For example I have a Samsung HDTV which has two HDMI ports but both of them dont support CEC. It has labels HDMI AV for Audio/Video and HDMI STB for set-top box respectively. Nowadays its common to find CEC enabled Smart TVs. SETUP Setup is Hassle free. DLNA is an Alliance formed by group of Companies including Intel, Sony , Microsoft , Consumer Electronics companies with an aim to simplify communication between different networked devices like smart phones , tablets , smart TV , Cameras , Printers , Network attached storage servers , computers , etc. The main aim was to develop & promote set of guidelines/ standard for sharing digital media/content among various devices. DLNA standard has incorporated many existing standards including UPNP (Universal plug and play) , for media management , device discovery , control over AV. Let us talk about Windows media Streaming because it is excellent for people like us who wants to stream local downloaded content to a Larger screen like smart TV without buffering and lag. Lets just dive deep into it. Quick info about the technology that makes it possible. Windows 10 has a preinstalled DLNA server which lets user stream local media library to another dlna supported device directly over common wifi network.  DLNA stands for Digital Living Network Alliance and in simple terms it is a set of standards that makes it easy to set up a device to stream videos , photos , music with other devices on the same network.
