Consumer Electronics control (CEC) is a design/feature of HDMI used to control different devices functions via HDMI. For example a single TV remote can control set-top box , DVD player functions via HDMI-CEC Technology. How to check if your TV has HDMI-CEC Its simple. just check your HDMI ports on your TV. If HDMI-ARC is mentioned then CEC is Supported. otherwise not supported. Also you can check it out in TV settings panel > Media Control > HDMI-CEC For example I have a Samsung HDTV which has two HDMI ports but both of them dont support CEC. It has labels HDMI AV for Audio/Video and HDMI STB for set-top box respectively. Nowadays its common to find CEC enabled Smart TVs. SETUP Setup is Hassle free. Let us talk about Windows media Streaming because it is excellent for people like us who wants to stream local downloaded content to a Larger screen like smart TV without buffering and lag.
